Experience
Five-plus years in fintech, across payment gateways, settlement and reconciliation, from requirements and system design through to production.
- A settlement and reconciliation operations dashboard, designed and built end to end as the only developer: nine-plus backend services (reconciliation engine, settlement processing, bank and gateway ingestion, chargebacks, exports, auth), a React and TypeScript frontend, and a PostgreSQL schema of about 90 tables kept in step through reviewed migrations.
- A payment portal for a public health-insurance scheme serving about 2.9 million beneficiaries, built to strict regulatory and technical standards.
- Payout APIs for disbursements over UPI, IMPS, NEFT and RTGS, integrating several banking partners.
- A merchant onboarding platform with KYC, product subscriptions, transaction reporting and a multi-user dashboard.
- Payment links with lifecycle management, password protection and expiry, and recurring payments through physical and electronic mandates.
How the work gets done
- Money-handling code is written to be safe first: multi-step writes in one transaction, row-level locking for wallet and ledger operations, parameterised queries, and an audit log entry for every change of state.
- AI-assisted development is part of the daily workflow, for architecture, implementation, review and documentation. It makes one developer faster; it does not replace reading the code.
- Every project is tracked ticket by ticket, with a written knowledge base that is kept up to date.
